Introduction

PATHWAY PROGRESSION

• Direct entry to any of the 5 Government Polytechnics {Singapore, Nanyang, Ngee Ann, Temasek, Republic Polytechnics}
• Pursue in any of the local Junior College {2-3 years}, namely the “A” Level Course {equivalent to matriculation preparatory courses}.
• To pursue a diploma in any post-secondary institutions or the Institute of Technical Education.

OVERVIEW

This ‘O’ Level Examinations are Secondary School graduating Examinations jointly held by the Ministry of Education Singapore in conjunction with the University of Cambridge of Local Examinations Syndicate.

The Singapore-Cambridge “O” Level Certificate is universally recognized particularly in Commonwealth Countries and the US.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS • Minimum Age: Applicants must be 15 years of age as of 1st January of GCE ‘O’ level examinations year
• Completed Sec 2 or equivalent  
ENGLISH PROFICIENCY • Pass Placement Test or Certificate in EFL Level 1

Assessment & Grades

ASSESSMENT

The objective is to:
• Test under formal conditions the knowledge and skills the students have learnt all through the month.
• Act as a summative assessment as complement to daily worksheets that are completed in class.
• As preparation towards future formal assessments held by MOE, at government schools or as progression to tertiary courses.
• Track progress, plan and report
